GCADV, along with its members and allies, works to achieve social change on behalf of domestic violence survivors and their families.

GCADV envisions a Georgia in which individuals and communities take an active part in promoting the social change needed to end gender-based violence and help to create a world where all girls and women are safe, respected, and able to reach their full potential.

GCADV empowers survivors and the programs that serve them, educates the public, and advocates for responsive public policy. Our strength is in numbers, as we collaborate throughout Georgia to stop domestic violence. This is done through GCADVs core programs: training, technical assistance, public policy and advocacy, and statewide community outreach.

GCADV is also engaged in a variety of statewide collaborative projects designed to a) support the unique needs of underserved victim populations; b) analyze and address trends and service barriers; c) assist victims with self-sufficiency goals; and d) provide coordinated access to shelters throughout the state. These projects include HUD Rapid-Rehousing, the Fatality Review Project, 24-Hour Statewide Hotline, and Community Engagement Project.

GCADV currently has 53 member programs and organizations across Georgia.

Every day we motivate, inform, and connect with stakeholders concerned with this issue. No one organization offers all of the solutions, and we believe that by coming together with a wide range of partners and creating new approaches, we can ensure that survivors are safe and empowered and healthy relationships are nurtured.

GCADV is a 501c3 supported by grants and donations. We invite you to join us in our work. Please go to www.gcadv.org to learn more about ways to be involved in the domestic violence movement and ways to financially support GCADVs work.
